Wyoming Tribe Gets Rare Permit to Kill Bald EaglesThe agency's decision comes after the Northern Arapaho Tribe in Wyoming filed a federal lawsuit last year contending the refusal to issue such permits violates tribal members' religious freedom. Although thousands of American Indians apply for eagle feathers and carcasses from a federal repository, permits allowing the killing of bald eagles are exceedingly rare, according to both tribal and legal experts on the matter

I think this sucks...I don't think religous freedom should be an excuse for killing any animal...I thinkt he SCOTUS disagrees and they probably did this since they knew they would lose the lawsuit.

So we are going to allow them to kill what has been a historically endangered bird, (when they can get feathers and carcasses anyway) just to satisfy some ancient voodoo ceremony?
