Bloomberg just reported that if the election were held today it would be a toss up. After

everything that has gone down, along with the blatant anti-women, anti-education, anti-labor, anti-civil rights that the republican party has been in your face about, it is still a dead heat between romney and Obama, this country is really fu*ked in the head

It was repuke policies through deregulation that led us to where we are today, starting with reagan. We are 1 weak vote away from the supreme court saying that the right to privacy is not a fundamental right.

Just curious...I keep hearing how Obama's ratings are low, but I heard in a report on Al Jazeera this morning that his poll numbers are high.

I even saw Margret Brennan go down and talk sympathetically with OWS, but I sure don't believe the poll that says Rmoney is even with Obama. Their line is that if the election were held today . . . propaganda if I ever heard it.

However, what bothers me is most of the other polls seem to back this one

Hopefully, people will realize that our democracy is hanging by a thread, and will get off their asses and vote

The GOP has a very motivated base. Rmoney taking Samoa and Hawaii is no surprise, the LDS are very active there.

Everybody needs to take a cynical eye to all the anti-Democrat news over the next 8 months. Even if it comes from supposedly "left wing" sources. The Reps are going to be spending hundreds of millions of dollars in pulling every dirty trick they possibly can; it would be ridiculous to think some of that isn't going to go into slanting polls from the usual suspects like Rasmussen, and seeding spun or outright false stories into the left-wing base to try and convince them to stay home or vote third party.

Not a certain thing, but not bad. We have:
Level
Obama +9
Obama +3
Obama +8
Obama +5
Romney +2

The 2008 election was Obama +7. That ended up with an electoral vote of 365 to 173.

In Penn. Obama is neck to neck to with Santorum, though in that poll Obama is ahead of romney

Bloomberg indicated that the poll reflected that the economy and jobs was the number one issue

Still I am disturbed that from the wars to the economy which were all the result of republican policies, we are neck and neck

To me it is a very sad commentary on the populous, and how right wing it has become

yes Obama has taken a hit over gas prices but his numbers are still strong because over 70% of the country is pissed with rethugs over this whole 'contraception'/'war on religion' crap even being part of the political discussion......men included. As long as we can keep Ricky/Rush/ et al yakking about this topic, the better for Obama and the rest of us.

The GOP is campaigning and in the news 24/7. Obama is governing and the GOP is bloviating. Plus the nation hasn't seen Obama and the GOP nominee stand next to each other and get real.

Don't know what the purpose is of these kinds of polls and statements.
