Jon Stewart: Fox, shut the f*ck up about how victimized you are

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/03/14/jon-stewart-fox-shut-the-fck-up-about-how-victimized-you-are/

Daily Show host Jon Stewart on Tuesday night took Fox News to task for responding to the controversy surrounding Rush Limbaugh by claiming he was just a comedian.

“Nobody is hiding behind comedy,” he noted. “And there are repercussions for what comedians say. When you’re doing it in a club, there are repercussions, ask Michael Richards, ask Tracy Morgan.”

“Fox, shut the fuck up about how victimized you and you alone are. Nobody cares,” he concluded.

I didn't know Fox was playing the victim card. I hope they give a show to Rush, he is so vile I think even a lot of Republicans who don't currently listen to him would be turned off. Yikes, at least I hope so!

Rush had a TV show, remember? With a live audience. The 1st show just let people in. It was a DISASTER!!! After that they heavily screened the audience. and the show was still a big bore and died.

Y'see, few people actually LISTEN to Rush. He is mostly background noise they "hear", and Right Wing ears pick up only when they hear some phrase or bumpersticker they already know and/or agree with. 90% of the time Rush just talks about himself and how "great" he is.

I know this because my father used to listen all day...or not listen all day, just noise in the background. You can do that easier with a radio than a TV.

I saw it once really really late in the evening or really really early in the morning. Anyways, it skeered me silly. Not Rush so much, but when they panned the audience. They looked like dittobots. Really scary no real expressions on their faces, they were just mindlessly clapping at whatever Rush said.

It wasn't so very long ago that both sides were eager to have true debates about issues.

Now the only people debating ISSUES (rather than ideologies) are those on the left. The right, in mass hysteria, has lost its collective mind. That is bad news for everyone. I'd much rather be beaten by a Republican in a fair debate than live to see the level of discourse stoop to the point where they become able to rationalize blatant hypocrisy. Evil breeds when all channels of true communication are cut off in that way.

But I absolutely loved this smackdown on the poor-widdle-me whining by the pundits on the multi-billion dollar empire they work for. Especially when, after showing clips of FAUXs ranting about how "if you call it comedy you can get away with anything", Stewart shows clips of them defending Rush because "hey it was just a joke, he's an entertainer"

media is very well versed in making white Christians perceiving themselves as victims of everyone and every thing that isn't like them. From welfare queens, to convicts on furlough, to immigrants and all those with skin tones a shade darker, to George Soros, all have been harming white Christians in ways so insidious that it takes the right wing extremist media to spew fear mongering propaganda to get their victims to vote against their own best interests. Somewhere Goebbels is green with envy or just mold.
