At some point, he loads the kids into the station wagon, puts the dog on the roof and drives to a family camp in Canada. Today he is a billionaire. So, how rich was he at point A, and how did he get from point A to point B?

(135,425 posts)He went to private schools, his father was the Big Auto Dude and Governor....it's not like he was ever really poor. Or even "average." He was always rich-- I think he started making the obscene money at Bain....it was just when he started buying up struggling businesses, breaking them to shit, firing the employees, raiding the pension funds, and selling off the parts for more than was paid for the whole...oh, and taking "stock" in the entities that were sold off, so that when someone ELSE did the hard work to bring the company back, his profit would continue to grow even though he did nothing but destroy lives....well, that's how he did it, I think.
He's just a shit, isn't he?
