3. Didn't he say something to the effect that he's never getting into politics?

I forget the exact quote, but basically saying both that he lacked the thick skin to take the kind of crap that someone like Obama does, and also that he enjoys life too much just doing what he does. I could be wrong.

in promoting change from outside of politics. Plus, he loves his private life too much. Can't say blame him.

Most of us probably wouldn't be spending much time on politics if we were wealthy, good-looking superstars dating models half our age.

"I've done too many drugs, slept with too many women, and been to too many parties" to run for office.

I tend to respect Congressman Al Franken quite a bit.

Even though he was mostly a satirist, unlike blowhard talking heads(exempli gratia: Limbaugh, Beck, Coulter), he has shown a lot of credibility in running for office and placing accountability where his mouth was.

Sure, I can understand taking the Gore route, where one thinks they can affect change more effectively out of politics, but at some point, to do so places added weight to one's words.

I admit, he is not quite as outspoken, nor does he command attention like the three given names I have mentioned. So, I can't blame him.

don't sell him short!

I was a big fan before he ran for office, and he has vastly exceeded my high expectations.

Love Al Franken.

That is why I mentioned Al Franken. He went in to the fray and put his action where his mouth was. Which is amazing in comparison to his contemporaries.

13. Never. He has a cause and a hobby. Worthwhile ones. Also, he's not a foreign policy expert.

People like Joe Biden are foreign policy experts.
