http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/03/14/ann-coulter-gop-has-a-problem-with-charlatans-like-sarah-palin/
At a Lincoln Day Dinner event in Florida, she was asked about the possibility of a brokered Republican convention.
One of the ones promoting that is Sarah Palin, who has suggested herself as the choice, Coulter replied. I think as long as its between us girls, Ive been observing something about her. I dont think its likely to happen. I dont know what these people are cheering for.
And just a more corporate problem is I think our party and particularly our movement, the conservative movement, does have more of a problem with con men and charlatans than the Democratic Party, Coulter continued. I mean, the incentives seem to be set up to allow people, as long as you have a band of a few million fanatical followers, you can make money. The Democrats have managed to figure out how not to do that.
Dennis Kucinich, hes a nut, he has fanatical followers, but he doesnt gets a show on MSNBC. He doesnt get any kind of gig on MSNBC. Hes road kill. Howard Dean doesnt get a show. Howard Dean was fairly respectable for a Democrat. No, you embarrass us and drag this thing out, and you are finished in the Democratic Party.

(62,325 posts)I guess she's jealous of the other one who stole her spot in the charlatan limelight and was better at cashing in on it.
And what an endorsement for Dennis Kucinich. She just legitimized him, not that he needed it, and proved what a threat a person who tells the truth is to Republican Charlatans.

(27,445 posts)I don't think I can remember any instance where Coulter has said anything positive about the Democratic Party. She even used "Democratic Party" instead of the usual RW diss of Democrat Party.
It is an intersting observation, though. Though Al Sharpton was a former candidate and has his own show on MSNBC, but then he never held office, either.

(1,484 posts)Perhaps our thinking is going down the same path? I have been imagining the two of them in not just a war of slander, but rather in an all out cat fight, in street clothes and on blacktop. From what you know of them in the media, which one do you think would prevail, and how long do you imagine the loser would be able to stay viable? I realize that coulter is a near anorexic, but from all that I have seen, she is also vicious almost beyond description. A veritable wolverine I might add. I also imagine the palin going for the hair, right away.

(24,780 posts)Pretty much since the dawn of the teaparty. She's also toned it down a lot too. She carried around the crown of queen of the crazies for years. Then when the real teabagger crazies came out of the wood work it's like she said "whoa! They're friggin' batshit crazy!"
Coulter is not crazy in a Rimjob way. It's always been a shock act with her supplemented with a pretty shitty upbringing that makes her think it's ok to be as shitty to people as can be. But it appears even the teabaggers make her back off and I think that's what we're seeing.
Plus, she's not stupid enough to think a Gingrich or a Santorrum will be president. She wants access so she tones it down and supports Romney. The woman is not an idiot.

(22,308 posts)Without them you would have no party. We all know that their economic policies are pure fantasy but that is what sells to the conservative masses so that is what they sell.
We all know that their foreign policies are suicidal but that is what sells to the conservative masses so that is what they sell.
Even now Newt Gingrich is selling the idea that he has a secret plan to bring the price of gas down and the masses are buying it. In 2008 McCain sold his secret plan to catch or kill Bin Laden and the conservative masses bought that too.
They even sell the fantasy that climate change can't be happening because there is some bible quote that can be twisted to mean that God wouldn't let that happen. Guess what... the conservative masses buy that crap too.
There is no there there. It is all distortion, deception and bold faced lies. You reap what you have sown and the Republican party has sown some serious bull shit.
