It's called Soliris or Eculizumab. She has been diagnosed with Dent's Deposit Disease. The cost of this medication is $17,000 per dose or $409,000 per year. I'm thankful that the hospital and drug company are picking up the cost of this medicine, otherwise she would be looking for a new kidney in 10 years time. Apparently the drug company is trying to find other uses for it.
