This is a gif I posted on Facebook. Here is how one of my right wing friends responded:
(start quote)
LayDeeBug, stop making things up. No one is trying to make the pill illegal, nor anything else. This was a WH ploy as no one was talking about any of this until Stephanopoulus, out of the blue, asked Romney if a state had the right to ban birth control. Shortly thereafter, the mandate on religious institutions hit and suddenly the Republicans were being accused of trying to ban HC.

Now, *some* people are so eloquent, it amazes me. They would calmly handle this situation with maturity. I am not that fucking fancy so here is my response:
Oh friend, you are WRONG again, but really, when are you not? Keep telling yourself this happened because of George Stephanopolous. Yeah, that's the ticket. That's why Rep. Issa held congressional meetings on contraception and WOULD NOT ALLOW A SINGLE WOMAN to testify on the panel....yeah...it was Stephanopolous. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it was. Keep telling yourself that VA Senator Ryan McDougle did NOT write a law saying that a fertilized egg has "personhood". NO! NO! NO! *That* never happened. It was all a *trap* set up by George Stephanopolous to make the GOP look bad. They didn't REALLY try to do all that shit. (Hey dink, notice I named names, so you can look it all up). AND THEN STOP TRYING TO TELL LIES ON MY WALL. I am getting ready to institute a rule that I am deleting LIES when they are posted on here, because the BULLSHIT gets too deep otherwise. And by lie, I mean anything that isn't the truth. Lord knows how the right likes to conflate.
(end quote)
Now, my question is, are we sure McDougle's law was introduced before that January 8, 2012 debate? Should I tell him to "fuck off", or will a simple "fuck you" due? Just wondering...

(82,849 posts)Really? Your correspondent might want to check with Rick Santorum and his pals in the Catholic Church. They seem to be doing their level best to outlaw not only access to contraception, but all contraception in any form.
Your friend seems incredibly well-informed about things that never happened, and woefully uninformed about actual events. Most curious.

I am fuming.
