to arrive at my apartment. I have enough to get me through the remainder of the week, but I'm going to have to make some alternative arrangements if I don't receive it soon.

(on edit: corrected spelling of name)

Accused of auto theft of a Dodge at age 18. No charges.

Indicted by grand jury at age 19 or 20 for auto theft of a Maserati. Charges dropped.

Charged with a concealed weapon (hand gun) the same year in a separate incident. Plead guilty. Got probation.

In 1980, aged 26, Issa was indicted again for grand theft auto in a complicated insurance bogus sale scheme with his brother. Charges dropped.

Court records show that in 1981 Issa left the scene when he crashed a truck into a car and had to pay the victim an undisclosed amount.

Issa soon turned Steal Stopper around, to the point that it was supplying Ford with thousands of car alarms and negotiating a similar deal with Toyota. But early in the morning of September 7, 1982, the offices and factory of Quantum and Steal Stopper in the Cleveland suburb of Maple Heights caught fire. The fire took three hours to put out. The buildings and almost all the inventory within were destroyed. An investigation of the cause of the fire noted "suspicious burn patterns" with fires starting in two places aided by an accelerant such as gasoline.[10]

Adkins said Issa appeared to prepare for a fire by increasing the fire insurance policy 462% three weeks previously, and by removing computer equipment holding accounting and customer information. St. Paul Insurance, suspicious of arson and insurance fraud, initially paid only $25,000 according to Issa.[10] Issa then sued St. Paul Insurance for $175,000 and eventually the two parties settled out of court with Issa receiving approximately $20,000.[citation needed]
(Wikipedia)

In 1998 Issa tried to buy a US Senate seat primary by putting $10,000,000 (ten million) of his own money into the primary (he got only $400,000 in contributions, which is an additional 4%). He lost the primary.

Great idea! Everyone should bombard Issa with requests to do so. Just say "I am a conservative republican and I demand an inquiry!" And spam his inbox! If the dude can tie up a million hours on Obamacare then he can investigate this.
