Mitt Romney Slapped With Racketeering Lawsuit Post #2 Addicting infos perspective

Last edited Mon Jan 6, 2014, 01:28 AM - Edit history (5)

I've had a few pm exchanges with Laser, something I rarely do, except, maybe, to give Will Pitt inebriated New Years homage or send out a cat pic.

As to certain allegations... Laser testified under penalty of perjury so I'll give him the latitude due. As to how a laymen goes about handling court issues... well frankly, Laser strikes me as the type that once focused is unrelenting.

He has withou out a doubt created a modest groundswell, all be it off the Romney 47% ex-presidential candidate and Romney that "Bain"Guy name recognition to help get his case made, I don't think for a moment he connects Romney himself with anything salacious other then RICO, a group of gentleman who have the ability to remain above the law because of their connections and position in society.

Mitt Romney Slapped With Racketeering Lawsuit

by: Nathaniel Downes

The Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) closed a loophole which enabled crime bosses to get away with murder by merely ordering, or even suggesting, for crimes to happen. Despite the difficulty in proving a RICO case, those who engage in such acts continue to blame the law for their own criminal actions. RICO has been used to ensure convictions against tobacco giants and Mafia bosses. It is not an easy conviction, requiring an awful lot of paperwork, warrants, informants, etc. As discussed on Law and the Multiverse, a lighthearted look into the legalities of comic book characters, the difficulty in ensuring a RICO conviction is incredibly hard in the real world.
eToys Liquidation Or Con Game? One Man’s Fight To Make Sure Mitt Romney Pays For His Crime.

Stephen “Laser” Haas operates Collateral Logistics Inc. (CLI) a company which was appointed to oversee the liquidation of assets in the bankruptcy of eToys in 2001. He has now filed suit against Mitt Romney along with his company Bain Capital, Goldman Sachs, and several other firms, over actions taken in the eToys bankruptcy which manipulated the sale price, costing the companies shareholders millions. A US Judge confirmed the details of the case back in 2005, but under the Bush administration enforcement of these laws was lackluster at best. Bain Capital has already found itself in hot water over similar price-fixing scandals, but this case comes with paperwork implicating the one time GOP presidential nominee of price manipulation.

According to the affidavit by Mr. Haas, his firm found many accounting irregularities which he reported to US Attorney Colm F. Connolly. However, instead of acting, the issues were ignored. It turned out that Mr. Connolly failed to recuse himself from the case despite his ties to Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell (MNAT), a law firm which Mr. Haas alleges has ties to Mr. Romney. Of course Mr. Romney already tried to claim that he had retroactively retired from Bain Capital. The failure of Mr. Connolly to enforce the RICO statute has landed him a spot on the lawsuit, right next to Mr. Romney.

influence, there may never be any charges brought. This needs to make that leap to get the wheels rolling.

laserhass is going at this just as he should, unfortunately, a monetary award may be all that is obtained. It's easier to get an monetary award for damages *after* a conviction. And Bain and Romney will not be convicted of anything.

Near election time in 2012 a news story about a union 'charging' Romney with illegally profitng off the auto bail out using this kind of language but it came to nought, as it was a lawsuit and not a criminal case. The criminality was obvious to the layman, but would not pass in a court of law.

And there are many other stories of Romney's profit making:

These are all hidden behind the wall of corporate personhood. Lincoln warned of this power base, and we are still dealing with this mindset.

These cases have things in common such as the number of players in the corporations diffuses responsibility. Using Romney's name does get attention, but it will likely never really 'get' him.

Still, all of this knowledge is needed for Americans to change our system and understand where the money is going from out pockets, schools, cities, states and nation.

This case is not about victim Laser Haas versus Mitt Romney;
it is germane to the issues of WSJ slaughtering U.S. citizenry without remorse or relent.

We are in a Civil War;
but no one really cares about dollar bullets.

Until one's life savings are ALL GONE!

Romney IS the boss in this case and has benefited (indirectly and Directly) from the organized crimes.

As far as 'get'ting him -

We've already done that - because Pitten's - Didn't Make It!
