Michele Bachmann's favorite "Reverend" Bradlee Dean is still taking his band Junkyard Prophet into US high schools to present a program against drugs, bullying, and violence - except it is not. His ministry - You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International- is listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as an active anti-gay hate group. They have NO business in public schools.
Recently at a school in Iowa "students found themselves faced with graphic images of aborted foetuses, while girls were instructed to obey their husbands." Dean told them "Up until 1961 homosexuality was illegal in all 50 states. We protected that institution."
"Parent Jennifer Littlefield told the LaCrosse Tribune: 'They told my daughter, the girls, that they were going to have mud on their wedding dresses if they weren't virgins.'
Her 16-year-old daughter Alivia was distraught when she called her after the event and was one of several to have left in tears."

(7,932 posts)why did the students just sit there and listen? If this had happened by my high school, at the very least people would have walked out, and the worst there would have been a riot.
The principal didn't know how to cut off a microphone? Forgot how to remove the microphone from someone's hands?

(8,020 posts)... kill the power. Hell, pull the fire alarm (secretly, of course)
Sounds to me like a school administration standing with their collective thumbs up their asses.
