Who believes he will cooperate with all 'appropriate enquiries'?

As Isikof asked - who defines 'appropriate enquiries'?

Isikof says that line will define the State speech.
If he does not hand over all documents and if questions go unanswered, he's up Shite creek.

I know nothing.

Nearly a third don't believe New Jersey's Christie on bridge scandal: Reuters/Ipsos Poll

(Reuters) - More than 30 percent of Americans believe New Jersey Governor Chris Christie knew that his staff intentionally created traffic jams by partially blocking access to the George Washington Bridge, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Tuesday.

Christie, considered a leading contender for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016, has denied any advance knowledge of the blockage, but only 28 percent of those surveyed believed him. The survey found 31 percent did not believe Christie and 41 percent said they did not know.

<...>

Last week Christie fired an aide responsible for the closure and at a news conference repeatedly apologized for his staff's actions, while denying advance knowledge of the lane closures.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll showed the bridge issue had not influenced how 49 percent of the survey subjects felt about Christie, while 26 percent viewed him less favorably and 3 percent had a more favorable opinion.

Christie Policy Speech Seeks to Steer Focus From Probes

By Elise Young

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stood before lawmakers investigating dirty tricks that emanated from his office and asked them to move beyond politics.

<..>

“I also want to assure the people of New Jersey today that what has occurred does not define us or our state,” Christie told lawmakers. “This administration and this legislature will not allow the work that needs to be done to improve the people’s lives in New Jersey to be delayed.”

<...>

The jam paralyzed Fort Lee, a town at the end of the bridge connecting New Jersey to Manhattan whose Democratic mayor, Mark Sokolich, refused to endorse Christie in the November election. The intention was to punish the mayor, according to a cache of e-mails and text messages obtained by news organizations, including Bloomberg.

‘Got It’

The governor fired a deputy chief of staff, Bridget Anne Kelly, who he said had lied to him about whether anyone on his team was involved in the bridge lane closures. The e-mails released include one from Kelly on Aug. 13 to David Wildstein, a Christie appointee at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the bridge.

“Time for some traffic problems,” she wrote. He replied, “Got it.”

Sweeney, just spoke.

Christie's Democratic Ally Worries Bridge Scandal Will Become 'Distraction'

One of Chris Christie's Democratic allies in the New Jersey legislature urged his colleagues Tuesday to not be distracted by the George Washington Bridge scandal, an admonition that was met reportedly met with silence.

New Jersey State Sen. President Steve Sweeney (D) made a reference to the media attention generated by the scandal.

"The headlines in the recent press cannot become a distraction," Sweeney said in remarks on the senate floor, according to reporter Matt Katz.

Katz noted that Sweeney did not receive applause for the remark.

The investigation into the politically motivated lane closures on the bridge has exposed a divide among New Jersey Democrats. State Sen. Richard Codey (D) said Monday that "Democratic power brokers" in the state were trying to halt the probe, but the newly sworn-in speaker of the state Assembly, Democrat Vincent Prieto, shot that down.
