Evidently just to bring up a governor he'd never heard of? Must have been to highlight what a big deal the Christie story is.
I know the governors brother Paul. I worked with him at The American Red Cross. He's a blood bank "tech". I use quotes because there you should almost say "no tech"! Not low tech! The dude is trained like a freakin' parrott and has no clue what anything computer wise actually does. We all know them.
His story is that he hates computers. He owned a business machine company of some kind in his younger days. We can all guess how that went. "How can you replace the old school adding machine or "nuckle buster" credit card machine? Why would anyone pay big bucks for those freakin' computers?
The last time I saw Paul, he had to travel and stay in a motel to cover my vacation. I did like the guy though. I had to really hand it to him for tormenting a lazy ass I worked with. Paul was in Boise and I and another guy worked the blood bank in Lewiston, ID. The Boise guys knew my partner hated to get up early and it was absolute HELL on him to be woke up in the wee hours for emergencies! Those guys would call him even when they knew it was me on call! Then, "oh! Sorry buddy, we got screwed up. We thought it was you tonight." Then he'd call me and brag about it, knowing I loved to rake in the overtime for being called out!
I pissed Paul off one time when they had me on speaker phone and his brothers name came up. I asked if he got the nickname "Butch" from Larry Craig! Ooooh! That one didn't go over well! Then another time I tried to put a high school kid up to asking "Butch" himself the same question when he came to speak at their school. Sort of anyway. Though we both thought it would be funny, I had to warn him it might not be a real great idea!
