Lily-white.
I've seen "sub-human" and "mongrel" used other places, to describe humans.
The KKK, Nazi Germany and Stormfront.
And exactly WHAT "treason" has Obama and liberals done?
You'll never get a real answer from meth addict Ted Nugent.
(Seriously, I knew a guy who was a meth addict. He looked and sounded like Nugent.)
Outdoor Channel's Ted Nugent Says "Subhuman Mongrel" President Obama Should Be Convicted Of Treason
National Rifle Association board member and Outdoor Channel spokesman Ted Nugent called President Obama a "subhuman mongrel" and argued that he and other liberal politicians should be punished for treason.
Merriam-Webster dictionary defines mongrel as "a dog with parents of different breeds."
Nugent made the comment during a January 17 interview with Guns.com at the 2014 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show), an annual gun industry trade show that draws 60,000 firearms industry professionals. Nugent was representing the Outdoor Channel, which airs his hunting show Ted Nugent Spirit of the Wild. Nugent and Outdoor Channel recently announced a multi-year endorsement deal where Nugent will make "talent appearances on the network's behalf at top consumer and industry trade events." In announcing the deal, Outdoor Channel's CEO said that Nugent "symbolizes everything that is right in our industry."
In addition to describing "Barack Hussein Obama" as a "gangster," Nugent said the president and other liberals should be jailed and face "the just due punishment that their treasonous acts are clearly apparent":

(50,563 posts)The fact that "Ted Nugent symbolizes everything that is right in our industry" is one of the reasons his industry is on the decline.

Oh, and Ted? You do know that treason has a specific definition that doesn't include "any behavior hard-rightists don't like," and there's a reason your last album was seven years ago and sold less than four thousand copies in its first week. It's not that you're an asshole, it's that your music fucking SUCKS! This is an excerpt from one of the songs on Ted's last album:
I like to eat my girl scout cookies
I like to eat them all night long
I like to eat my girl scout cookies
I like to eat them all night long
I like a plate at night with a glass of milk
Them butter creams go down smooth as silk
I like a plate at night when I'm in my bed
Never let them girl scouts, never let them go to your head
I like to eat my girl scout cookies
I like to eat them all night long
I like to eat my girl scout cookies
I like to eat them all night long
That coconut just drives my wild
I get my cookies fresh from a child
That peanut butter gets stuck to the roof of my mouth
I like my girls scouts east north west and south
I like to eat my girl scout cookies
I like to eat them all night long
I like to eat my girl scout cookies
I like to eat them all night long
Girl scout cookies
I'm not sure if this is a song praising pedophilia or just the last act of a desperate man, but you know something? A guy could get rich selling "vacuum cleaner turbocharging kits" that come with a Ted Nugent CD and a tube of super glue. Just open your vacuum, glue the Ted Nugent CD into the tank, and your vac will suck ten times harder than it did before.

(12,608 posts)In 1978, Nugent began a relationship with seventeen-year-old Hawaii native Pele Massa. Due to the age difference they could not marry so Nugent joined Massa's parents in signing documents to make himself her legal guardian, an arrangement that Spin magazine ranked in October 2000 as #63 on their list of the "100 Sleaziest Moments in Rock".[30][31]

(9,462 posts)a serial pedophile because he dated two seventeen year olds. I'll tell you what, the Pele Massa story doesn't make sense. Since when can't a 17 year old get married with their parents permission? Especially back then? If I have time I'm going to look up more info. I do know Courtney Love says she gave him a b.j. when she was twelve. He's so disgusting...

(50,563 posts)Most of us here, if we'd have dodged the draft, we would have done it for ideology or because we didn't think Vietnamese people needed to die for the Michelin Tire and Rubber Company or because we just plain didn't want to get killed in a war against a country that posed no threat to US interests. Ted dodged the draft because he didn't want to give up playing guitar.

(53,339 posts)I ended up serving, being seriously wounded by AK fire in combat, and being retired from the Army for disability.
I'm also aware that he said he would have been good at war, and he would have killed alll the hippies in the foxholes.
Of course we'll never know about his prowess as a warrior since he was so determined to avoid that, but to most of us who have served--and to many who haven't--his flip comments about killing fellow soldiers did not go over well.
jmowreader
(50,563 posts)Not to say that there were none; we ARE talking Nugent, of course, and Nugent hates "hippies" so much he's been known to change the subject so he can go off on them.
He did say that he would have killed off the entire Viet Cong Army all by himself.
One thing I know, is Nugent is just so lucky he didn't go on one of those "support the troops" tours of Europe during the Gulf War and visit Berlin. My troops knew Nugent and would have been happy to take him to lunch for those comments...a knuckle sandwich with doner kebab sauce would have been the meal of the day.

(50,563 posts)How many actual hippies served in Vietnam? For that matter how many hippies were there?
It's correct to assume soldiers did drugs especially alcohol, but you can't blame them: the war was just too weird. My platoon sergeant in Korea was in Vietnam and told us of his camp's barber. This guy had been working on base for five years and was very well liked. One fine day Sergeant D was getting a haircut when two Military Intelligence soldiers walked in. They let the barber finish the haircut, then ordered everyone else out and shot the barber - he was a colonel in North Vietnamese Intelligence and had been when they hired him. The VC had tunneled under the American 25th Infantry Division base camp and they would just randomly pop out of camouflaged holes and shoot five or six guys before retreating. I don't do drugs but if I was in the Vietnam War I probably would have - the stress and uncertainty would have done it.

(7,968 posts)My brother was in the 9th Infantry (stationed at Dong Tam) in '68-'69. He was in Graves Registration and many of his friends were wounded in combat. I can't imagine your anger at someone like Ted Nugent and I wish he had the balls to say something like that to your face so that you could respond in kind. I hope you are okay and I send you

(53,339 posts)I hope your brother's doing okay. I had a friend who served as a cook in Vietnam; his PTSD came from serving in Graves Reg in the States. That's a helluva job!
I'm doing okay. I have my physical deficits, but they're nothing compared to the psychological deficits. Those of us who have made it this far have learned to manage those things. Not always well, but well enough to survive. And we know a few things about survival...
Love & Peace to you and your brother.

(7,968 posts)You are very special and I will tell my brother about you. He turned 20 when he was there (he'll be 65 in May!) He has a successful business, a good marriage and 2 beautiful (grown) kids to hang his hat on-so he's doing well. All the best to you!

(53,339 posts)I was hard-core combat Infantry, and I couldn't do what he had to do. I wouldn't wish that job on anyone.
I doubt it's been easy for him. In the aftermath those things haunt us, and I know it had to haunt him. He really deserves credit for being able to rise above.
We were close to the same age--I turned 21 in Vietnam. And I was the officer in charge of a grunt Infantry platoon.
It's really a shame that they put us into those fucking jobs at that age.
Be sure and tell your brother 'Welcome Home' from a brother vet.

(7,968 posts)I asked his daughter once if he ever talked about Vietnam and she shook her head. I know he thought he had it much easier than you men in the field and had (and still has) incredible respect for you. Whenever he gets the chance I know he gets together with fellow vets and has a real bond with them. As for your comment about putting you both in those jobs at that age-I know he came home a different person (as all of you did). Be well!

(53,339 posts)Not like the rest of us who can talk about what we did.
I can understand why your brother feels the way he does about combat vets. It was their remains he handled. He gained an intimate, terrible knowledge of the costs of war.
I speak in schools about Vietnam. But I don't tell battle stories. I talk about the people involved, like the guy who got a 'laugh box' as a present from his family Christmas Day. And how we all cracked up over it that day and when he put it on the radio afterward. And about how, years later, I heard a laugh box at a party and suddenly broke down in tears.
Joe Rufty, the guy who got the laugh box, got hit by machine gun fire and went down with a sucking chest wound a month after Christmas. He didn't make it. The story I tell is more about me, and how I loved Joe, and how it felt to lose him.
I feel for your brother. He had a very important job. But how the hell do you talk about it?

(14,912 posts)"dead or in jail in a year" if Obama got re-elected??
I know it's been over 30 years ago, but I remember reading in an interview he did somewhere that his music and stage show was just that.. a show, a way that he made money... and wouldn't even allow his own daughter to listen to his music or attend his concerts. He said it was all an act and that he didn't drink, smoke or use any kind of drugs. I kind of respected him for that, and wasn't until I joined DU that I learned about his draft-dodging stunt, his pedophile ways and his politics. I went to 2 of his concerts when I was a teenager, but really only liked a few of his songs. I never listened to anything of his after the "Wango Tango" album, and can't even remember the name of the band he was in with Tommy Shaw from "Styx" because I never listened to them, either.
He's proven himself to be a world class asshole, as well as a festering boil on the crusty asshole of society!
