And the 300 took a stand against the enemy...

No, I'm not talking about the 300 Spartans at the Battle of Thermopylae but 300 members of the Indiana clergy who took a stand against the enemies of justice. 300 signed a letter opposing the proposed conditional amendment banning same sex marriage, a bill that was just passed by the Indiana House.

Small excerpt from the letter:

The proposed “Marriage Amendment” would strip civil rights from committed same-gender couples. As many of us affirmed when supporting legislation to prevent sexual orientation discrimination in the workplace, public accommodations, and housing; each of our faith traditions emphasizes justice. For our society to be just, the civil rights of all people, even those with whom we may disagree, must be protected. We should not be writing discrimination into our State Constitution. This fact alone merits rejection of the Marriage Amendment.

These laws are just being passed out of spite, because it's just a matter of time before they're all struck down. It's blatantly obvious that passing a law barring same-sex marriages is unconstitutional, and it's also unconstitutional not to recognize such marriages performed in other states. If barring interracial marriages is wrong, barring same-sex marriages is also wrong.
