AS they say - haters are going to hate and smearers are going to smear. Greenwald did not begin his smear career with President Obama - he was doing it way back before Obama came to the White House. It seems that he thinks that just because someone is in powerful position - that they are supposed to be criticized - Imagine that!~!

He also wrote three books about the George W. Bush Administration; The New York Times-bestsellers How Would A Patriot Act? (2006) and Tragic Legacy (2007), and his 2008 release, Great American Hypocrites.

(62,325 posts)liberal blogosphere's most respected journalists.
I am of the opinion that the HB Gary bid for a contract to smear him when he began writing about Bank Corruption, specifically BOA, exposed by Anonymous, was given to someone else.
Did you ever read the emails in which they discussed HOW to smear him? Disgusting garbage, and back then he was not even that well known. It should scare people to death to know that they hire 'Security Contractors' to SMEAR Liberal Bloggers, most especially the ones who have the courage to tell the truth.
I'd love to know who got the contract this time. But there WAS supposed to be an investigation in Congress over that entire episode. So far it hasn't happened.
Smearing journalists only makes people angry. Even people who don't know them or agree with them always, are prompted to defend them because most intelligent people understand the threat to this democracy that the smearing and attempts to silence journalists would be.
The more I see the smears the more I am hoping Anonymous will strike again and reveal which of our Security Contractors are doing it this time.

(90,356 posts)... but this wasn't Greenwalds position WHILE everyone was going giddy of Bush in a flight suite!!!
Obama, on the other hand, while it was politically the wrong thing to do was doing the moral right thing in speaking out against Bush's war.
Greenwald?
not so much

(90,356 posts)..like to leave that little tidbit out of the story.
This look like a shakedown from the beginning...
Now SnowGlen look even more hypocritical; they think the public should see everything because it should be part of the discussion of whether or not the spy agencies are going to far but a jury of SnowGlens pears shouldn't be able to see if these two bastards broke any laws...
They're full of shit

(45,319 posts)The name calling voids any argument you might have. The fact that you misspell 'peers' in a rush to type insulting semi homophobic insults is amusing.

(34,589 posts)He knew we'd have a Democratic president one day, and he'd need to look "impartial" when he attacked that president. So he and Ron Paul wrote those books with the close cooperation of Queen Elizabeth and Vladimir Putin.
Won't Liberals ever learn?
