Changing times: When John Belusi died, Bob Woodward was widely

condemned for describing his drug use. IIRC, Woodward stated that Belusi was using both heroin and cocaine. At the time, one drug was acceptable, the other was not - don't ask me which was which.

I think the reaction to Philip Hoffman's death shows a better widespread understanding of the nature of serious drug addictions.

I've been thinking about Belushi of course with Hoffman dying. Here is Roger Ebert from then about Woodward's book, Belushi and Judy Belushi's issues with the book.
