Oxymoronic - GOP Plan To Make People Miserable Enough To Vote For Them May Work.
The GOP is making people so miserable the hope is they can blame the Democrats and get away with it. If the pols are right and the Democrats cannot take back the House and they lose key Senate seats the plan will have worked.
You can make someone so miserable they forget who is responsible. They will just strike out at anything before them in a blind rage. And the media is very complicit and helpful in pointing any bad news no matter how minor while hiding huge GOP lies at the same time.
You can see what is going on everywhere on every issue if you pay attention and analyze the situation. The problem is that too many voters cannot put two thoughts in a row together. They can only understand short misleading sound bites. That is why it is hard to be optimistic.
The mantra "if you have to explain it you lose' is so effective. The trouble is that most issues need more in depth understanding and analysis. Sound bites and short catch phrases and slogans mean very little in dealing with complex issues. And the most important issues are complex and require core knowledge to sort out.
Our only hope is that enough voters will wake up despite the distortions. It can happen but I am not all that optimistic though I hole out hope.
