Today the kids in Charleston West Virginia will stay home again

because the water is making them sick in their schools.
Seriously this poisoning of the water is more than a disaster. This is corporate terrorism facilitated by politicians.

There should be protests everywhere for the people of West Virginia.

I did have this thread last week and it's something anyway..

This meme is 2 hours old. Since then, at least 350 folks have signed the WV petition, which we DO appreciate! However, in the previous ten days, the petition did gather less than 500 signatures. It took three days for the Bieber petition to cross 100k, which means that the White House will respond to it at some point in the near future.

Send your friends, your family, and your neighbors to this link:

... if this had happened in a place other than Appalachia, you are much too kind about the tier system in America. Appalachians, aka hillbillies, hilljacks, ridge runners, are the last acceptable ethnic fools even among "progressives". It plays out quite clearly even here on DU. And even on this subject.

Some people need to go to jail over this.

If not, why would they care if it happens again? Corporate bankruptcy is hardly sufficient punishment necessary to send a warning. The polluters will just get a big business loan, form another corporation and start over again using the same practices that led to this disaster. Of course they will be aided and abetted by greedy politicians eager for campaign contribution and kickbacks.
