Did Zimmerman hide Trayvon's cell phone?

Did the police have the phone and not use it to identify Trayvon?

What the heck is up with this??? What do you guys think?

1. I think that probably what happened is that Zimmerman saw him talking on it

and thought that he could hide the evidence of the conversation by stealing the phone. That's stupid, of course, but Zimmerman doesn't strike me as the brightest bulb.

Makes me wonder if Zimmerman actually did hide the phone, have the police found it or could it be tracked down with the phones gps?

It makes no sense that the body was tagged a John Doe if the police had the phone to begin with.

Something is very, very wrong with this whole case.

His father said it took them 3 days to discover Trayvon's phone. I thought they said it was on Trayvon person.

They have verified that he was talking to his girlfriend.

It mentions call logs, but those could have been from the girl's phone or from the phone company.
