I feel bad, i was mean to the kitty 8-(

Maybe not really mean but i wasnt thinking for sure.

IT was 6am and i was asleep and my oldest start the 'ACKGRUGLE' noises they do when they are about to throw something up. She was on the bed 2 inches from my head. I woke up and grabbed her to put her on the ground so she didnt mess the bed and there was a laundry basket in the way i hadnt put the clothes away yet. So not even thinking i tossed her over the basket on to the floor. IT wasnt a huge height or distance but it was while she was still doing the heaving thing. Plus the fact that she is 13 and I worry about her all the time because of how old she is getting. She is still in great shape, running and playing with the other cats, i probably worry for no reason but thats what owners are supposed to do.

So after thinking about it for a minute i felt awful for tossing her while she was heaving and im sure not expecting to get tossed so she has been getting extra special attention this morning. I even gave up my chair at the computer for her for a couple hours while i went and did laundry something i never do. About to go to the store and get her some treats.

I hope she forgives daddy 8-(

hair balls. He's on prednisone now for an inflamed gastrointestinal tract, liver and pancreas. You should have some blood work done on your kitty to see if something is going on. Otherwise, whenever I do something, like accidentally step on his tail, I apologize. This involves, hugs, contrite voice and petting. They get it that you didn't mean it and all will be forgiven.

I remind them that us elderly folks can't feed them if I fall and break my hip or worse. They just look at me, and I know within a few days they would just eat me. But, I do try to apologize.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, will rouse me from sleep faster than hairball gagging on the bed. I'm saying "get down! get down!" and pushing a cat off the bedding before I'm really even aware that I'm awake. Having this happen so often, you'd think they'd automatically jump down when they feel sick, but noooooo! I think they deliberately get ON the bed when they feel sick! I put an easily-washable throw over the bed during the day.

I'm sure kitty forgives you and is enjoying all the special privileges she's getting, probably wondering why she's being fussed over.

9. Considering the hour and the fact that you were asleep, I think you handled it well.

I'm sure kitty forgives you, but if you're doing special things for her, she might decide to add a few miles to your guilt trip.
