Biden made the amusing, and some would say, true, comments about the aging airport during an event about infrastructure in Philadelphia.

“If I blindfolded you and took you to LaGuardia Airport in New York, you must think, ‘I must be in some third world country,’” Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday.

Vice President Joe Biden, never one to hide what he’s thinking, said Thursday that New York’s LaGuardia Airport fees like it’s “in some third world country.”

“If I blindfolded someone and took them at 2:00 in the morning into the airport in Hong Kong and said ‘where do you think you are,’ they’d say, ‘this must be America, it’s a modern airport,’” Biden said during a speech on infrastructure in Philadelphia.

When you are used to LGA, your reaction to going though any other airport is "Wow, this is a really nice airport!"

9. Except for the Marine Air Terminal

When we go to New York we usually try to take the Delta Shuttle, which lands in the Marine terminal at Laguardia. Sure, it's old, but in a good way--1939 Art Deco. You're in and out of there in five minutes. It's a snap.
