95% Say George Zimmerman/DMX Boxing Match Should Be Canceled

On Friday morning, we asked you whether March 15th’s George Zimmerman boxing match should be canceled. As of Friday afternoon, a resounding 95 percent of you said yes in our poll.

Meanwhile, opposition to the fight continues to grow elsewhere. The Change.org petition to cancel the fight is closing in on 80,000 signatures. The White House petition is nearing 25,000 signatures. And the “Cancel George Zimmerman’s ‘Celebrity’ Boxing Match” Facebook page is up to over 265,000 “likes.” Not bad for a page created on Wednesday.

But promoter Damon Feldman is resolute: the fight will go on, he insists. In fact, on Friday afternoon, he announced on his Facebook page that the press conference would be on Wednesday, February 12th at 2 p.m. Location TBD. 12. I am not much of a boxing fan..

BUT YEAH, this is TOO UGLY in my opinion. Zimmerman is no one's hero and no one wants to see his Murderous face on TV, held up like as if he was some kind of hero.
