The Plight of the black athlete: Thug vs Immature

So if you're a sport fan you probably saw or read about Oklahoma State basketball player Marcus Smart shoving a fan towards the end of a game at Texas Tech......now supposedly that fan called him a "N_igger" and also has been involved in past incidents with other players like stepping on their hands or something

Now instantly Marcus Smart is being called a Thug all over the internet and pretty much receiving the blame from everyone

And this infuriates me.

......so whenever a black player does something that may be "questionable" he is referred to as a thug, but if a white player was in the same situation I can guarantee you they would be described as "immature"

For example Ole Miss has a player Marshall Henderson- he's a passionate guy who has been involved in numerous incidents on and off the court......and not once have I heard people address him as a thug, rather its always "oh he needs to grow up...he's too immature"

But hey I guess if you're black you're just gonna be a thug no matter what right?

But stepping on other players hands and such does reek of being an ass

5. A lot of (most?) white people are afraid of black people, and we don't deal well with fear.

The regression of the last 40 years has all been brought about because people, especially white people, are so easy to frighten, and once you've got them frightened, they stop thinking and start reacting.
