"process" is the GOP specialty, "policy" is the DEM strength but...does policy get people elected??

IMO, policy is what a candidate uses after he/she gets elected. To me policy never got anybody elected. No matter what people tell surveys takers its the voters gut feeling and if the candidate has "it".

"it" means any box of rocks can get elected, it doesn't mean they will follow the script once elected. So it is important to find people with "it"
qualities and policy guru's who known how to keep a box of rocks on script.

Getting elected is the goal, otherwise you are just howling at the moon.

no one in their stable with the "it" factor.

Obama kept some of his largest campaign promises re: winding down war on Iraq, massively reforming health care insurance and thus healthcare, and others.

Bush kept his promise to be a motherfucking douchebag who butchers the English language.
