You All Need To Understand - GOP & Business Is Saying $7.25 An Hour Is NOT NOT Affordable.

They are telling you that they won't create jobs until minimum wage is allowed to follow the global market. What part of that meme does everyone one get about the rhetoric. American is no longer a country where the business community can afford to pay any more to 70% of the work force.

We cannot compete with the global economy on our high wages. Listen to the CEO's and billionaires. Even at $.25 an hour American workers would be better off than 5 billion other people

Remember the meme - "compete with the global economy". What does that mean?

Crush wages so low business will come back to America where you will get paid $1.27/hr AND YOU WILL SHUT UP AND LIKE IT AND BEG FOR MORE HOURS!

Most of the country just does not seem to understand what the GOP is ultimately up to. It is that they want to deliver the US to the global market. It cannot be done if there is a wage floor.

Yet our presidents continue to sign "Free Trade Agreements" and continue to push for more.

So where does the blame lie ?

With our government who does the bidding of the corporations, or the corporations themselves ?

I blame the government of the U.S.

They aided, abetted, and enabled this to happen in our country.

Our government gave the power to the corporations.

For some reason Clinton and Obama have agreed to trade agreements that were spawned by the GOP and big business. I cannot make any sense of it all. There must be some kind of back pressure the public has no awareness of. It is obvious that these agreements are disastrous.

There are powerful economic forces pushing these agreements. All I know is that so much of the rhetoric does not add up. I keep hearing compete with the global economy which is so much bullshit. It is absurd to think that American workers can compete with "emerging markets". There are a lot of places in the world where the income is only $100 a year. It is insane to say we must compete with that.

How two supposedly intelligent Dem presidents can embrace agreements like NAFTA and TPP is beyond me.

Imagine a 60 year old wealthy investor that has little interest in the future of any company other than the amount of money they can make the next quarter, after that you will understand Think-Tanks, Republicans, wall street etc etc etc. Its all really simple, greed coming at the cost of a future that they wont be living in.

The markets are all set up to be vultures now, its the fastest way to make money they could care less about the future.

The GOP and big business is largely responsible. And Dems have been too weak or marginalized to stop it or appose it.
Since Reagan the Dems have been pretty much on the run. And a lot of it is big money.

Even here in our local races in Colorado so much money comes in against Democrats it is cooperate or be crushed.
