Walker administration announces sale of Wisconsin - first 2,552 acres on the block now

First make sure that the citizenry and local governments have no money, while making sure your donors have plenty. Then start selling off the State.

Wisconsin DNR lists 33 properties targeted for public land sale

The Department of Natural Resources made public on Tuesday a list of 33 properties totaling 2,552 acres it plans to sell this year to help satisfy a directive from the Legislature that the agency sell off a portion of public land holdings.

The properties in 23 counties range from a few acres to two parcels totaling nearly 500 acres each. The land can be purchased by private parties but also by counties and other public entities.

The agency posted the properties on its website, but they won't officially go on sale until after DNR managers conduct final evaluations, ask state tribes and other government agencies to review the land and obtain final approval from the Natural Resources Board in May.

As part of budget deliberations, the Legislature's Joint Finance Committee last May directed the agency to offer 10,000 acres for sale by June 30, 2017. That amounts to less than 1% of the state's land holdings.

Apparently, they get first choice. But I doubt it will happen.

The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will make available for sale at least 10,000 acres of land over the next several years as per 2013 Wisconsin Act 20 and policy and procedures approved by the Natural Resources Board (NRB) at their December 2013 meeting. The land offered for sale will meet some or all of the following criteria:

* Parcels of land outside of a project boundary with difficult or no access for the department for management purposes;
* Parcels of land outside of a project boundary with limited or no public access;
*Parcels of land outside of a project boundary that have limited public recreational or natural resources value;
*Parcels of land that have been identified for sale as a result of a NRB action; and
* Parcels of land recommended for sale as a result of a master planning process or other department action.

We will be selling land to the following groups in order of priority:

* Sale to a unit of government or Wisconsin sovereign tribal nation.
* Private sale for trespass or boundary settlement or with adjacent property owner under special circumstances.
*Public sale to the general public.

walker have a 51% approval rating after all hes done to destroy WI?

At least that's the number I heard a few days ago--that plus because of his High approval he's now-perhaps the best shot at a GOP run for POTUS?

Yes. And then he keeps his funding from his masters. It's his calling. Jesus missed with Mitt, and told Scott it was his turn.
