For those "Justifying"Zimmerman's actions: When in this country does it become a OKAY

for one person-regardless of sex, color, age etc-to be killed simply because he walked down a FUCKIN public street?!

Trayvon was minding his own business. He was walking to a home HE HAD EVERY RIGHT TO GO TO! He didn't say one word to Zimmerman UNTIL ZIMMERMAN started following him! He didn't know who Zimmerman was all he knew was that Zimmerman was FOLLOWING HIM! For all we know Trayvon might have been frighten this man was going to attack him or kidnap him or anything like that!

Facts are Zimmerman followed Trayvon NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

They very few that are challenging the overriding sentiment here are getting smacked around pretty smartly.

I thought this was a "gated community".

It doesn't change the fact that the kid had every right to be there, but it does raise the additional issue of whether towns ought to allow gating off areas that should be public.

Regardless if this was a "Gated" community IT IS STILL PUBLIC in the way People can be on that street to get to their home or People can travel that road to VISIT friends in that community.

What I am saying is that Trayvon WAS NOT sneeking around a house or window to give Zimmerman any reason for his actions HE was WALKING a STREET Used by THE PUBLIC.

The regulations about putting up a gate usually don't require that the streets become private. In fact, they're usually public so that the city/county/state have to pay for maintenance.

(Before people get too upset by that, the low traffic volume caused by the gate means the road needs far less maintenance)

does not look like he is justifying anything, only questioning conventional wisdom of what happened. The other seems like he wants to get the full story before jumping on any band wagon.

anyone who is justifying Zimmerman's actions. A few questioning the media's accuracy, which is reasonable. Some want to wait and see the whole story, including what did not make the news.

Justifying? No. The guy who wrote and introduced the law thinks Zimmerman is guilty of murder.

I'm as strong of a RKBA and self defense advocate as I can be and IMO Zimmerman was dead wrong to follow that kid and kill him like he did. I have NO use for vigilantes.

I lived in Lincoln County Oklahoma in the mid-80s when then Sheriff Ray McClain was running the county Sheriff's dept as a vigilante squad, way outside the law and witnessed first hand where that kind of thinking leads. The Feds FINALLY stepped in and sent the Sheriff and some of his deputies to prison ending their reign of terror.

I only hope the Feds will take an equally active role in Sanford FL. This bullshit must not be allowed to stand.
