The big tent only has enough room for about 1% of the wealthiest Dems.

I will never turn to politics or democracy to ever solve a problem, ever again.

I will never be dumb enough to be made to believe. I will never look to a political figure with aspirations of hope, ever again.

1. Hey look! Its the "Hey Dems, stay home" approach to voter suppression.

If you can't out right block Dems from voting, trying to convince them to stay home is the next best tactic.

It doesn't matter. Both parties are the same. Blah blah blah.

OK, so you're not a kid, but politics is not the same as believing in someone. It never has been. Don't "believe" in politicians, find ways to twist their arms. That's what gets their attention.

At any rate, good luck. You have enough on your plate right now.

sell that some crumbs are dropped on some of the bottom 10 - 20% but never enough to move the needle enough to improve outcomes.

This is different than the TeaPubliKlans who only represent the top .5% but throw crumbs to the next 19.5% to sell it but never enough to do more than to keep them serving the top by giving them something to lose in the game.

if you look to history you know civil rights legislation only passed after years of marching,

labor laws were only passed after people died (Haymarket),

you are aware the new deal was only enacted because socialism was gaining support -

the list goes on and on. There is nothing wrong with voting for the most progressive candidate on any given ballot, imo, but that doesn't absolve you from the hard work of advocacy. Voting is the least of our jobs.

Please hang in there - we need you.

It doesn't matter what party you are affiliated with, money talks. We keep hearing about how much the Rs are putting into super pacs and always hear that the Ds have put in much less. It doesn't matter. Money will win in the end.

The only way around this is to get out the vote EVERY election cycle, whether it's local elections or national. Without that, there is no hope for anything other than a plutocracy that says it is democratic. Most, if not all, of our senators and representatives are bought by some group. It doesn't matter if they are D or R, they are bought. That is how they accumulate wealth. Donations to their re-election campaigns are, pure and simple, bribery. We need new blood and we need it as soon as possible.

ones to place your belief in. They will let you down every time. The Democrats we have now are what would be moderate republicans years ago. The election game is rigged with big money. That's the problem we have to solve.

I'm actually looking forward to voting this November so I can vote against my dumb-ass governor. But you feel free to stay home if you want!

the national dem party makes me largely want to puke, but on a local level, it's a different story.
