Did anyone see the Daily Show yesterday where Jason Jones essentially made the point that Russia under Putin has just about every right-wing, conservative position that Republicans in this country desire?

but the frothing hate towards Russia I see sometimes around here seems so very 1985. Putin's... honestly not worse than a lot of other world leaders. Some of which are our bosom buddies.

Quick, pick one; Vladimir Putin, or Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah?

Our president picked the latter.

And Putin is seen as "standing up" to the US, so they cheer him on, no matter what he does. If some see the US as "evil", then anything Putin does to combat that evil is acceptable.
