Had to share this little gem with DU, as it takes place in my humble little town! And NO, I don't plan to attend!
"Governor Rick Perry hasn't formally announced his candidacy for the 2016 presidential race yet, but the Texas Republican is returning to Iowa for a two-day visit.
His itinerary includes stops in the Des Moines area and in Davenport.
Perry will be interviewed Thursday, February 27, 2014 by a media panel in Johnston for a public affairs show on Iowa Public Television.
On Friday, he'll meet privately with about a dozen business leaders in Davenport for a group discussion hosted by Americans for Prosperity.
Job creation and growing the American economy are the scheduled topics for the conversation.
Perry came in fifth in the 2012 Iowa Caucuses behind Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum."
