China pledges unconditionally not to use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against the nuclear-free Ukraine and China further pledges to provide Ukraine nuclear security guarantee when Ukraine encounters an invasion involving nuclear weapons or Ukraine is under threat of a nuclear invasion, said a joint statement on the pact.
Chinas official media, including Xinhua and Global Times, touted the deal with the headline China Pledges Nuclear Umbrella to Protect Ukraine.

(46,416 posts)Edit to add: I wonder if this treaty is in any way legal or enforceable now, and why didn't Yanukovich get a nuke-umbrella agreement with Russia? There must be some sort of reason behind this, and guarantee of grain, or prevention of joining NATO, is all I can think of.

(34,661 posts)media is carrying the usual hate and war speak of the 1%ers. I do hope every DUer looks behind the curtain to take a look at the puppet masters. Funny,same old crowd,Wall Street,IMF,Merkel from Germany and the German Banks,the usual Brits who love to stir the pot,and of course the Gas and Oil thieves. Ukraine is totally broke,they need some 30 billion just to survive,the so called EU austerity thing has wiped out the Ukrainian people. This whole thing is nothing more than a Vulture attack on their country. Just picking over the caucus.
