Batcrap Fundie Watch: Pat Robertson puts a hex on Peyton Manning for Broncos' treatment of Tebow

Pat Robertson, televangelist and a leader in the Christian Right movement, said the Denver Broncos treated Tim Tebow "shabbily," adding an injury to the team's new quarterback Peyton Manning "would serve them right."

Robertson came to the aid of the devoutly religious Tebow after the unconventional signal caller was shipped off to the New York Jets in a late evening trade with Denver on Wednesday.

"The Denver Broncos treated him shabbily," Robertson said on "The 700 Club."

"He won seven games, he brought them [Denver] into the playoffs, for heaven sakes. I mean, they were a nothing team. He rallied them together with spectacular last-minute passes and, you know, when they beat Buffalo — I mean, Pittsburgh, excuse me — it was a tremendous victory." ................(more)

The NFL is a business and if you have problems playing QB then
any team will look for somebody who can play better than you.

The GM of Denver is John Elway and he knows just a little bit
about how to play QB.

if you ignore that football is a team sport. It is killing me a lot of people are talking about poor Tebow when no one mentions that the Colts dumped Manning after doing a hell of a lot more for Indianapolis than Tebow has done for Denver.

Of that I am sure. Now watch the Jets self-destruct in a QB controversy to end all QB controversies. The funny thing is that both Sanchez and Tebow are spectacularly mediocre. Manning, on the other hand, is the best of his generation.

God works in mysterious ways. I'm sure sending Tebow to the Jets is just part of His plan. I hear He is quite the football fan.

the NFL has recently cracked down on the bounty program. Kick in 10 grand to take out Peyton Manning's knees and you've bought youself a shitpot of trouble.

Side note: I've always contended that it's the Tebobos who make Tebow such a polarizing figure, and it's hard to argue after hearing nonsense like this from Robertson. Scrutinize Tebow just like you would any other NFL QB and you apparently doing Satan's work...

That must be the holy spirit speaking through Pat.

"The Model Prayer"

5 “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words."

Thanks for the thread, marmar.

No?
Go fuck yourself, Pat Robertson.
Yes, that word I typed was fuck.
