That Romney foresaw Russian aggression but Obama ignored it. I suspect as with most RW assertions this is at best a half truth, but does anyone have an idea how I go about refuting it with facts? Maybe something was mentioned in the foreign policy debate? Or elsewhere? All help greatly appreciated!

He ignored a crisis that did not exist yet? What was Obama supposed to do, start a preemptive war with Russia?

The right tried to blame Jimmy Carter for the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1980, too.

I don't see how Obama is to blame for Putin doing what he's always done. Unless people thought we should bomb Russia (not wise) last year or something, there's not a lot to be done that would prevent Putin flexing his muscles and trying to crush surrounding countries into submission.
