"I just tell the truth about them and they think it's Hell." -Harry S. Truman

The lunatic mindset that led to the murder of Trayvon Martin is part & parcel of the "gun rights" movement, and it's toxic hold on our political processes, and culture.

That mindset is steeped in right wing ideology and shaped by truly reactionary impulses. Even the language employed is telling, ascribing what are innately human moral or legal entitlements to an inanimate object.

At the end of the day, the "gun rights" movement is not about having legal physical possession of a firearm. It is about the very ugly impulses of the right wing, impulses that manifest themselves daily across the country, not just in Sanford, Florida.

And anyone who supports so-called "gun rights" is part of the problem, all the whining, moaning, screaming, and gnashing of teeth to the contrary. To paraphrase Harry Truman: it's the truth, and the "gun rights" crowd just thinks it's hell.

Look at the evidence. Trayvon was minding his own business walking home, although it was through a gated community. He was being chased by Zimmerman, who is either a Black Hating Jew, or a Black Hating Hispanic. He wasn't suspended from school it just happened to be during school hours or, he was suspended from school for 5 days for being tardy . . . although the school has a policy on tardies that doesn't seem to account for even a 5 day suspension. Trayvon's Facebook site was terminated . . . someone needed a password for that . . . but before it was, it was copied.

Why are all the pictures of Trayvon so young? Didn't he have a yearbook picture or was he tardy that day?

Zimmerman is out of control and will be punished, although the black community wants him killed.

Trayvon was out of control (skittles in your pocket doesn't make you a nice guy) but didn't deserve to be killed.

Something is awfully strange here. Why the Grand Jury, too hot for the local D. A.? Will the Grand Jury figure it out and what if Trayvon is not all that innocent? What then? Do we still kill Zimmerman?

Crazy people make for bad witnesses and, so far, I would include among the crazies: Al Sharpton (Who originally thought Zimmerman to be a Jew and spouted antisemitism as though it was a fountain of truth), The Reverend Jesse Jackson who also, likewise and Minister Farakhan who exceeded the previously two in hate and also included a threat against whomever.

Where is the sanity? The Left should be more sane than those fascists on the right?

Zimmerman is a dead man no matter what, we, on the left have found him guilty without a trial and that is supposed to be what we object to about the death of Trayvon. We have convicted him. Yet there are still a lot of unanswered questions about what exactly Trayvon was doing out of school and alegedly walking home through a gated community.

Can't we be better than this?

OKNancy

about the facts of this case. Two glaring errors. He was not out of school. The murder happened at night.
He was walking home from the store. He was in the gated community because that is where he was going... to a home in the community.

The other stuff you wrote doesn't deserve a response.
