That's rather unlikely, yes?

In contrast, the largest gun control organization, the Brady Campaign, has an annual budget of 4 million a year...less than 2% that of the NRA. If anybody is going broke it's them, especially given how unpopular gun control has become over the last 20 years.

I don't believe gun control is unpopular, and if it is, it's certainly no reason to celebrate. Guns can kill people, and they must be tightly regulated.

Fuck the Republican NRA, they're human garbage.

Let the facts speak for themselves:

http://www.gallup.com/poll/150341/record-low-favor-handgun-ban.aspx

Record-Low 26% in U.S. Favor Handgun Ban
Support for stricter gun laws in general is lowest Gallup has measured

A record-low 26% of Americans favor a legal ban on the possession of handguns in the United States other than by police and other authorized people. When Gallup first asked Americans this question in 1959, 60% favored banning handguns. But since 1975, the majority of Americans have opposed such a measure, with opposition around 70% in recent years.

For the first time, Gallup finds greater opposition to than support for a ban on semiautomatic guns or assault rifles, 53% to 43%. In the initial asking of this question in 1996, the numbers were nearly reversed, with 57% for and 42% against an assault rifle ban. Congress passed such a ban in 1994, but the law expired when Congress did not act to renew it in 2004. Around the time the law expired, Americans were about evenly divided in their views.

(They're misusing the term "assault rifle", but we'll let that slide for the moment)

I don't believe gun control is unpopular,

As I've just shown, you're incorrect.

and if it is,

See above.

it's certainly no reason to celebrate.

I respectfully disagree.

Guns can kill people,

Of course they can. That's rather the point.

and they must be tightly regulated.

Again, I respectfully disagree.

Fuck the Republican NRA, they're human garbage.

There's no need to be emotional.

"We need real gun control! I hate the NRA! The blood is on their hands!"

Some people then react to such statements by disagreeing, and explaining why. How is this irrelevant to the topic at hand?
