Judge Napolitano should be fired

Period. From whatever TV and radio programming he is on. He is explicitly saying that slaves should have been rightfully regarded as property when he proposed Lincoln should have monetarily compensated the slave owners in exchange for the freedom of slaves.

This is absolutely reckless talk and Napolitano has no business being given a national platform for it.
Fox and the other entertainment entities that provide a microphone for this garbage should be ashamed and immediately fire Napolitano.

This is not serious or scholarly news and history analysis. This is pure ignorance and crazy talk.

Or Sarah Palin?

Not that I think what he said is correct; neo-confederist arguments drive me crazy, but I doubt that Fox News will fire him, and I'm not sure what else we can do about it.

Last night's Daily Show with him has got me all riled up. What an insane person!

I seriously feel me or someone, anyone, needs to confront Napolitano face to face in front of a camera and ask him: "Are you freaking stupid? Do you not see the inherent moral conflict and contradiction in compensating slave owners for people that shouldn't be enslaved in the first place??? Did you fall down a flight of stairs? Did you get hit in the head with a bat? Has somebody brainwashed you?"

Uhgggggg.

have been doing for years is to "legitimize" racism, in this case through slavery, and present it as though it was an economic issue, ignoring the basic rights EVERY person has. It is disgusting, and he should be fired, but this whole insidious racist trend is being encouraged by the media.

But you can't dismantle him and his argument enough....minus the fact that it is completely child-like and hardly necessitates dismantling. In a better country it wouldn't even come up but, tragically, half of this country is stuck on stupid.
