Because President Obama has issued many fixes by executive order. Nancy Pelosi said we have to pass it now, fix it later. Yet for some reason, ill informed people have decided that the ACA is something akin to religious gospel.

BTW, the position that the ACA needs to be fixed is shared by many other Democrats including several Senators who are up for re-election this year. Apparently we need to write those Senators and inform them that according to some, the ACA is Gospel, and they risk losing Democratic Support in not advocating that position.

Or perhaps you are suggesting that the Democratic Party embrace the position of the Rethugs, and just go for flat assed abolishment?

What do you suggest? Option A is to take the position that the ACA is the divine inspired work of a deity. Option A is obviously a loser. Option B is joining with Republicans in abolishing it. Option B is a loser for millions of people. I suppose there is an option C and that is to feign ignorance. ACA? Never heard of it but I promise to appoint a blue ribbon commission to look into this thing whatever it is.

most voters didn't know the position of any candidate on any issue. A a lot of them didn't know the candidate's names until they got to the voting booth (and probably forgot before leaving). They vote D or R with a few "others".

Unfortunately it's more about GOTV than issues and positions. Voters' feelings about issues will enable one party or the other to GOTV more easily but the candidate's positions won't do much.

The GOP says the ACA is bad. The media amplifies that. If the Dems don't fight back, they lose.

Too often, the Dems take a weak stance, "yea, there are some issues but we can fix it" which does nothing to refute the bold lies the GOP tells. Or, the media puts on angry folks from the left who hate the ACA because its not Medicare for all.

The average voter who isn't really paying much attention, gets a general sense that the ACA is bad.

Part of the GOP plan for voter suppression (supported by the media) is to discourage the left, get them to give up, stay home.

Only takes a couple % to make a difference.

You actually think the ACA is without fault right now? Perhaps you can explain the multiple delays then.

Seems to me the problem here is that some posters are afraid of the truth, afraid to face reality. There were quite a few who hated her frank comments couple weeks ago regarding our chances in 2014

I'll stick with those that are rooted in reality and are unafraid to say so.
