'Pot Pizza' Puts Grandma And Boy In Hospital

A grandmother has claimed she and her 10-year-old grandson were served pizza laced with marijuana which left them both in hospital.

Ava Farley said she felt a rush, was sweating and her heartbeat was going very fast after eating several slices of a mushroom pizza in a Los Angeles restaurant.

She claimed young Clintay Jones "started cussing, going off, talking crazy, and ran out the door naked".

He said: "I started feeling like dizzy and like crazy."

It might have had psilocybin mushrooms on it, but that is completely different than pot. Particularly with the "hallucinating" etc.

I don't know how you would taint regular mushrooms with weed anyway unless you are rubbing hash oil on them or something.

why would anyone do this is a great question but if someone wanted to it would not be that hard.

One can saute lots of things in oil, including mushrooms.

I'm getting very tired of those who constantly post "man bites dog" BS here on DU!

Some frequent posters seem to "specialize" in that sort of thing.

Not mentioning names.

As states and feds begin to relax cannabis prohibition laws....as we are seeing now--there will be well timed "horror stories" like this and like the ACA/Obamacare Horror stories--most will be found to be pure bs.

Someone might be getting a big fat check from "somebody" who Wants these types of scare "stories" out there as with the ACA opponents...

It's gaining popularity and acceptance. If you are advocating against cannabis, your window of opportunity is closing. You've got to stir terror now or it will be too late.

because I've tried it a few times and it just cranked anxiety in me. That said, pot doesn't cause hallucinations, and the natural suspect would be psilocybin mushrooms, not marijuana. Somebody isn't telling the truth here.

Be against smoking pot yourself all that you like, but don't blame pot for things it is incapable of being responsible for. Honest arguments are necessary to make a case; dishonest arguments are nothing but propaganda to be dismissed out of hand.

A Marijuana laced pizza would cost about 50 to 60 dollars. IMO this woman is a kook. And she may be facing time in jail for allowing her grandson to smoke weed. LOL! The mushrooms may have had an allergic reaction, but that still doesn't explain the weed in their system. Another case of fraud in the making. She should have thrown a finger on it to cinch it.
