Radar data suggests missing Malaysia plane deliberately flown way off course - sources

Last edited Fri Mar 14, 2014, 07:49 AM - Edit history (1)

Military radar data suggests a Malaysia Airlines jetliner missing for nearly a week was deliberately flown hundreds of miles off course, heightening suspicions of foul play among investigators, sources told Reuters on Friday.

Analysis of the Malaysia data suggests the plane, with 239 people on board, diverted from its intended northeast route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and flew west instead, using airline flight corridors normally employed for routes to the Middle East and Europe, said sources familiar with investigations into the Boeing 777's disappearance.

Two sources said an unidentified aircraft that investigators believe was Flight MH370 was following a route between navigational waypoints when it was last plotted on military radar off the country's northwest coast.

This indicates that it was either being flown by the pilots or someone with knowledge of those waypoints, the sources said.

The last plot on the military radar's tracking suggested the plane was flying toward India's Andaman Islands, a chain of isles between the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, they said.

The last sighting of the aircraft on civilian radar screens came shortly before 1:30 a.m. Malaysian time last Saturday (1730 GMT Friday), less than an hour after it took off from Kuala Lumpur, as the plane flew northeast across the mouth of the Gulf of Thailand. That put the plane on Malaysia's east coast.

Malaysia's air force chief said on Wednesday an aircraft that could have been the missing plane was plotted on military radar at 2:15 a.m., 200 miles (320 km) northwest of Penang Island off Malaysia's west coast.

This position marks the limit of Malaysia's military radar in that part of the country, a fourth source familiar with the investigation told Reuters.

And not just US media... not by a long stretch. None of them can figure out the huge difference between MIGHT be and IS as every one of them have made erroneous claims that such and such DID happen when no such thing was ever said by anyone in authority. NONE of these authoritative sources have EVER said such and such information IS the plane in question, which is why the search area is getting bigger and bigger yet they still have no idea where the hell it is or what happened to it. First it was the military saying they saw SOMETHING on their radar that MIGHT have been the plane going the opposite direction and WAY WAY off its flight path entirely bypassing the entire country of Malaysia and dumping SOMEWHERE in the ocean on the western side of the country. The media of course turned this into the military picked up THE plane in question on their radar and continue to feed this definite scenario that never was the slightest bit definite and far more likely to be some other plane. It's gone on from there with MIGHT be's or flat out misinformation becoming IS and still pushing the misinformation as truth.

The US authorities in particular have pushed this as terrorism/hijacking from the very moment they opened their mouths on this and continue to push that theory while at the same time everyone on that plane and those who were supposed to be on it yet didn't show up for the flight on time and even the two pilots have been scrutinized from the very beginning showing NOTHING that indicates even the slightest bit that anyone either on the plane or supposed to be on it have the slightest thing to do with hijacking or terrorism and when no one at all has claimed anything of the kind which never happens... there's always some group and usually more than one claiming responsibility for known attacks.

The misinformation that's been constantly pushed is ridiculous. Boeing never said that they got ANY information from this plane after the second and final data stream while the flight was climbing which occurred before the last communication from the plane. The only indication that the plane flew for 4 or more hours comes only from some tv git that went only by the amount of fuel the plane had and possibly the erroneous info the media spread about Boeing getting info from the plane for hours. The two communications (one being the transponder) were never said to have been deliberately turned off, only that they ceased to work for any number of far more compelling reasons such as there was some kind of mechanical/technical trouble on the plane yet there's the media at every turn claiming they "were turned off" rather then "they stopped working". The satellite pings can't be verified that they came from THIS plane but only SOME plane in that area which also just happens to be a busy regular flight route, and therefore is far more likely to be some OTHER plane just like the military saying it MIGHT have been the missing plane regardless of how illogical that it would have been and not some OTHER plane.

Yet the authorities are also making a botch of the information flow themselves not explaining why something turned out to be incorrect information. The Chinese satellite images showing SOMETHING in the ocean were simple said to have been sent out by accident, and that they went to that area days later and found nothing... well you found nothing because in all that time it either sank or drifted so far way that you didn't check far enough since clearly there was SOMETHING there as the images showed, and because there was you should have found SOMETHING. And these people doing the plane searches are only using their bare eyes... what, you don't know what binoculars are???

And why is the search area barely going into the South China sea and barely off the flight path when the most logical place the plane would be is closer to China somewhere somewhat off the flight path further into the South China sea? Because China won't LET them - they claim it's THEIR waters and THEIR airspace but haven't said a word about whether or not they are checking that area themselves. China came out of the gate criticizing the Malaysians and everyone else involved in gathering info and searching for not finding the plane immediately... as if that could be done. I can't help but wonder if the plane was shot down by China when it got into what they insist is their airspace over the South China sea since the plane wasn't communicating. Or shot it down if they discovered that the pilots appeared to be missing or unconscious after military jets doing a look-see so that it wouldn't fly into China and crash on land populated by a lot of people.

I'm not seeing any logical reason for the plane inexplicably doing a hard left turn moments after its last communication and then flying over the entire landmass of Malaysia no where near Kuala Lumpur to "disappear" somewhere in the ocean thousands of miles in the opposite direction from it's flight path when the most logical thing was that the military radar and US satellite pings concern some other plane(s).
