Bits are right.
Vladymir, not "vladimir." So the middle vowel isn't an "ee" sound. Well, phonologically it's the same vowel, but the "d" is hard (not palatalized) so it's not like the "ee" in "beet". The final vowel, in -mir, is more ee-like. It's just not very long in duration.
Using ' for stress, . to show a syllable break, and , for palatalization: [vla.'di.m,ir].
Same for Putin: ['pu.t,in]. The /u/ takes a while to say, but the /i/ is very brief.
When I go whole-hog Anglophone I aspirate the /p/, as well.
