Who should incur the cost of searching for MH370 if it goes over a month?

It's real expensive for countries to keep up these search efforts. Not a real good time for he US to be using Navy assets considering what's going on in the Ukraine and North Korea. I bet Putin is one happy camper knowing he's no going to spend any time using his military/resources for the search.

for the sake of the entire international community. If it was an act of terrorism we all need to know that in order to be able to protect against similar acts in the future. If it was the act of a rogue or mentally ill pilot who for some reason decided to take over the plane and crash it somewhere, we need to know that too, maybe to be able to weed out pilots with psychological problems. If there was some kind of defect in the airplane itself, that must be found out because there are a lot of 777s flying around all over the world. It would be very stupid and wrong for the US to take our navy home and tell the Malaysian government that they are on their own.

in the Ukraine. I don't think our help will affect us in NK.

The search for MH370 is the kind of endeavors made for our military and I support it.
