Mom Lies Down as ‘Speed Bump’ to Save Daughters in Rolling Car
A mother of twin daughters in Lawrence, Mass., reportedly laid down on the ground behind her car to stop it from rolling out into the street with her two daughters inside. “I laid down horizontally, using my body as a speed bump to stop the car,” she said. Mindy Tran, 22, is now in the hospital, and will have surgery as a result of the incident. “I crushed my knee, injured my hips, and dislocated a shoulder,” she said. According to the local fire department, the car was not in gear when it started rolling. Tran's twin 2-year-olds were buckled in the back seat of her Honda Accord when the car began to move, and a neighbor jumped in while she was stopping the car to get her children out.
