i guess this is one of the things Snowden was referring to when he said there are more revelations to come
<The US National Security Agency has secretly tapped into the networks of Chinese telecom and Internet giant Huawei, the New York Times and Der Spiegel reported on their websites Saturday.
The NSA accessed Huaweis email archive, communication between top company officials internal documents, and even the secret source code of individual Huawei products, read the reports, based on documents provided by fugitive NSA contractor Edward Snowden.
Huawei founded in 1987 by former Peoples Liberation Army engineer Ren Zhengfei has long been seen by Washington as a potential security Trojan Horse due to perceived close links to the Chinese government, which it denies.
The United States and Australia have barred Huawei from involvement in broadband projects over espionage fears.>

(55,445 posts)right now the only way I'd even see it working is if Snowden magically brings with him a few terabytes of authentic documents from the Russian intelligence services...
After all, fair is fair...

Nevermind the fact that a quick glance at Huawei's history shows us they're the exact type of organization that should be watched closely...Anyone want to try telling me what everyday American freedoms are being violated by outing our surveillance on a group of Chinese hackers backed by the PLA?

Thinkingabout
(30,058 posts)Wonder if there is more to the connection with China and Russia than he is revealing?
Sure seems interesting he is dumping on lots of countries. I don't think it has ever been about his revealing phone call record collection. Also interesting he seems to be really tight with Assuage and Greenwald, birds of a feather flocking together.
