Ann Curry was interviewing Zimmerman's attorney and a friend of Zimmerman. The friend was semicontentious with Curry throughout the whole segment, but the last exchange was very telling....this man declared unequivocally that he was certain that a physical confrontation. Had to take place, and that 'someone had to die'. His own words. Unbelievable

Hip hip hooray for the new age of American vigilantism.

(53,410 posts)Trayvon was unarmed and walking home, not in some random neighborhood. Oh! And he had a hoodie and a box of candy. I work in UC Berkeley and the hoodie is ubiquitous here. He was chased while being a young black teen even after the chaser was told not to chase. Period. What about that is a 'must die' situation?

(18,672 posts)"Someone had to die"? That is the dumbest crock of sh*t I've heard this week. This is very telling about the mindset of these people. An unarmed kid was murdered in cold blood because some racist POS with a gun decided this was what the outcome would be. I hope Zimmerman rots in jail, and in hell afterwards. Everything I've heard from his friends trying to defend his actions absolutely enrages me.

(4,340 posts)He's saying that Zimmerman decided he was going to kill Trayvon right then and there. What other conclusion can you make from that statement? Not much help to Zimmerman.

(475 posts)Sure, I'm all for taking everything with a grain of salt, but to make a blanket statement like that is, to me, going a little too far.
