Somehow it is symbolic for McConnell to be rooting for a team that is hated by his voters and which was already eliminated from the NCAA tournament. This is the kind of mistake that will make a great commercial.

Of course, Grimes had already miffed fans by picking Wichita State to beat Kentucky in her tournament bracket. The Wildcats beat the previously unbeaten Shockers 78-76. And she picked Louisville to lose to Florida in the championship game.

Never understand why politicians get involved with picking brackets: either they're criticized for wasting time (Obama) or flayed for being honest and betting against the local favorites (Grimes). I think I'd just wish all the teams well, hope for every success for the local teams, and leave it at that.
