Hello all,
I'm invited to give a lecture about democracy, and will spend considerable time on the Occupy movement (which has sprung up in force in Spain again, see here). I'm looking for some great pictures to illustrate what I'm saying. I was looking for the one where riot police stand in line before a bank, but can't seem to find it. Also pictures of kettling and the use of gas & rubber bullets or bean bags, and of course pictures of the crowds.
I'm hoping some of you have such pictures "under your thumb", I'd appreciate it.

(5,379 posts)and the Brooklyn bridge arrests - another key moment. Inspired me to draw a parallel in a newspaper editorial meeting with an arrest over here in the macrh against monsanto. Hit a nerve with some people.
TYVM!

(5,379 posts)especially since we saw the tactic deployed here a year ago as well. I thought I was gonna be ill.
The public is twenty-year old university students. I've been warned they don't give a flying fuck about politics. Let's see if I can get 'em awake and give them some ideas. I bet I can - they recently started a FB group to protest not having a course-free week, so they know about organized resistance
thanks for your help!

(84,711 posts)You could post your query there and scroll through the archives (23 pages) of all the Occupy Actions around the country at the time. From what I remember folks were posting pictures and it's a good background for what was going on.
