http://miami.cbslocal.com/2014/03/30/miami-city-official-calls-for-end-to-ultra-music-fest/MIAMI (CBS4) Sunday is day three of one of the biggest electronic music events in the country.
Some city officials, however, are calling for the end of the Ultra Music Festival in downtown Miami after Contemporary Services Corporation guard Erica Mack was trampled Friday night while trying to stop a group of people who didnt have tickets who stormed a fence to get inside. Mack, 28, was listed as critical but stable at Jackson Memorial Hospital with severe brain hemorrhaging.
She was not strong enough to deal with a mob of people that actually pushed this fence down, pushing her backwards and the fence landing on top of her. Now these people started trampling on top of her just to get into the event, as a result she sustained major head trauma as well as a broken leg, said Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Ignatius Carroll.
What happened this weekend is an event that could have been avoided, said Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado on Sunday. The organizers of Ultra did not follow the police directive to re-enforce the fence, even though they knew that this year, and the year before, some kids have tried to over run the fences.

Police say an Ultra Music Festival secuirty guard is slowly improving after being trampled bya group of people trying to knock over a fence Friday.
Erica Mack, 28, remained in critical condition, but had started breathing on her own Sunday, according to police.
Mack was injured sometime between 8 and 9 p.m. when a large group of people outside the festival tried to push over a fence at Southeast 1st Street and Biscayne Boulevard, Fire Rescue spokesman Iggy Carroll said.
"A mob of people came to a fenced in area where they saw an opportunity to try to push it over," he said. "Numerous amounts of people, we don't know the exact number, was able to push it on top of her and began trampling her just to get into the Ultra Fest."
