How valuable is Facebook for Democrats ?

I have absolutely no idea. I no longer use FB. I got bored with it. If it advances the "Democratic cause" substantially, then that's a great thing !

Some people may be skilled at using it to reach people. I'm not. But some are I would guess.

I really think social media may be the one thing that could save us. Surely the "liberal" media isn't going to.

there are setting I could check, but I just don't want politics (from Friends or towards friends) discussed. I do subscribe to a few democratic names pages, including POTUS's, but they are just for my viewing. I don't share them with anyone else.

I do not go into politics much. BUT I do have friends who post substantially on politics and sometimes I will share their posts. It is great that we have a tool where we can say what we like (within reason) - as others have mentioned at least we have a chance against big media.
