If Zimmerman has never been charged how come his picture is in an orange prison jumpsuit?

I am kind of new to this story so maybe I missed this.

The picture they use of Zimmerman makes it look like he is, or was, in prison. And that creates an impression that he is not stalking around free with a CCW.

Is that deliberate propaganda or is that the only picture of this guy?

...a lot of county jails immediately put them in jail garb. Here, in the county I live in, we have orange jumpsuits or purple polo shirts. I don't get it, either. They must have run out of orange jumpsuits by arresting all those evil immigrants and pot smokers.

2. It's from a 2005 arrest for assault on a police officer.

Charges were dropped after he went through pre-trial intervention, much like Rush Limbaugh did after he was busted for pill shopping.

Although I have seen over the past few days a different picture of Zimmerman, perhaps a drivers license photo where he is smiling. His hair is closer cut in the new picture.

There is another pictures of the guy, I figure the media is just stuck on that one picture for some reason.

5. THat's an old mug shot from 2005. He's not quite the "angelic victim" that the RW is trying...

so desperately to bestow on him. The RW and NRA-approved" professional photo had not yet been released when the media went searching. "

the orange jumpsuit. He has facial hair, mustache, goatee, and he's thinner in the face.
They're keeping that picture out there to protect his identity.

9. I really don't think that is prison garb. It looks like an orange polo shirt. Look at the collar.

Sorry--I don't remember how to post photos here, but check out " target="_blank">this large uncropped (less cropped) version

From everything I've read, I suspect that Zimmerman needlessly, and in cowardly manner, shot Trayvon Martin to death, but I don't think it does "our side" any good to stray from the truth in this way. Just as I don't think it was smart to be using an old photo of Trayvon--it gives people who want to blame Trayvon ammunition, and you know how much they love ammunition.

Its hard to say. Some prison jumpsuits have collars, but I don't know if they often have buttons. His shirt has a collar and also has a button.

12. Right. But it doesn't mean that he's wearing a prison jumpsuit

Many many mugshots are taken with the subject wearing street clothes. Indeed, probably more are taken that way than with the subject wearing prison garb.
